Some of my areas are 12" deep and some as deep as 30". My room is 22 by 12 feet so you have to decide your self. I am unclear of what you are building for sure soooo maybe I am not the best to be giving advice. :) Good luck!

Yes and no. I understand completely why you dont want to drill it down any further, but when it comes to pics and load times people WILL bale just as fast on a website that is to slow. When I said have a few pictures there and then have them go to another page to see the rest that will let them...
