Is there a SeaQuest?

Ok; this is a long shot.

Did anyone ever make a SeaQuest DSV submarine paper model?

I have found a 3D model file, but nothing on the web of a complete model.

Looking for a deserving novice builder who asked!

I do not think that there is a paper model template for the SeaQuest DSV. I remember that there were a few members talking about it. However, because of the complex curves of the ship, it would be very difficult to make. WIth that being said, I think that the project was dropped.

Shame, but I see your point. The front hull and rear hull would be possible, but the center hangar area is such a globe, and the curved areas leading to it with the gas in between the fore and aft hull...

Your probably right about the difficulty.

I think the recent release of the show on BluRay generated the request...

I couldn't make the shape of the ship and I watched the whole series! The link below had the most thorough information I've ever sen on that ship.

That's a great site! Lots of cool detail. I didn't realize that the show had such a devoted fan base.

I found a 3D model online, in stl format, but when I tried converting it to png or jpg, I was not very successful.

I'm wondering whether I cold get it converted into parts, like in Pepekura, then hand paint the exterior...just a thought...
