OK guys, back to posting now, some backlog to do... after the Big Blackout!

Here are right wall components and finished wall

and the whole aft right section in place

The audio-video recording section is pretty complex, I realized it in several distinct layers

The handle is another sub-section

The knobs for the data multiplexer are somewhat out of scale, I know, but with littler diameter would have been pretty invisible... I'll take an artistic license

Here are all the parts ready to assemble (except the multiplexer... damn... I realize now that I forgot to place it in)

I'm a bit sad: my model is away, all alone in a far city. I took it in Torino for a model contest to show it to my friends, Nando first, as they wanted to see it with their eyes (look at post #230 above).

Obviously the model, as it is "work in progress", was partecipating out of contest. The response was very encouraging.
Now the cabin is waiting in my in-laws home for my return. This is the reason I feel a little worried. Let's hope it is doing well in its box...

Now back to work. The absence of the already builded part is not an excuse to get lazy!

After looking the last photo in the previous post I realized there was something strange: why the little frames are identical and not specular? Why both are "looking" to the left? One of them must be mounted the wrong way....
And a quick look to the photos confirmed my fear:

The left wall is wrong!

well not a big problem... a quick cut... and everything is again in the right place.

Thanks all, my friends, you are too kind.

Here I want to start working on a very important component: the central consolle. Due to its central position it's a very important focal point and, being pretty complex, it deserves special attention by the builder.

Here is general structure with all the windows opened for the many little boxes that I'm going to realize.

The panels in C3 section are on two different layers and have many details to be added so I printed several copies. Here are the two layers (left upper, right lower).

Here is the upper panel (C2) with the two keyboards used to select every software function during mission.

The C3 panel with all details and the openings for the little boxes that simulates the recessed spaces where all the switches are placed in the real shuttle.

The little boxes are prepared

and some of them receive metal rods where needed

the boxes are glued to the rear

And this is the first complete panel element. Very nice!

Soon the center console-part two. Stay tuned
