    Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers - N Scale

Actually I can! You see, every night, they empty out the frosty goop and store it in the walk-in fridge for tomorrow. Then they run sanitizer through the machine a couple times until it's thoroughly clean, then they disassemble the Frosty Machines and send them to the guy in the back on dish...

    Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers - N Scale

Thanks folks. Val, I tried the embossing trick, but the bricks are so small that you can't tell it apart from one that's not embossed. (I did this on some scrap pieces.) At any rate, it's more work than I care to do so I'm just putting the bricks on straight from the printer. I first gave the...

    Robert Guyett has passed away

I consider him a friend of mine. Many a night we would stay talking on the chats about various topics. I for one will (as I have in his recent absence) miss him. He was a good modeller and a good person. Shawn, I'm not certain if you will read this, but I too have lost my father at a young...

    Roof Problem

LOL! Actually I did catch it, but I made the mistake of assuming you meant 25.5mm  In that case, your stretch would be roughly: ~59mm Interesting, isn't it? That 20 degree slope only makes a difference of 4mm? But I guess 4mm is significant when you remember that it is a GAP that...

Progress on the BNSF Whitehead Sub

Hoss, I think BOTH structures came out top notch. It would be a pity not to include that first one on your layout. I can't figure out what it is about it that you don't like. Great work on your benchwork! I can tell this is going to be a top notch layout when you get to scenicking it...

    Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers - N Scale

In this picture, you can see that "attic crawlspace." It's 5/16" of room between the ceiling and the removable roof piece. This should be adequate space for whatever set-up I decide to go with in placing the lights and wiring.

    Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers - N Scale

Made a little bit of progress today. I thought that if I wrote down a list of tasks to accomplish, I would be able to skip the "thinking" step that seems to drain so much of my time and make leaps and bounds in my progress - I was wrong. Oh well, at least there's no guessing as I go along. In...

    Roof Problem

Woodie, short of getting all mathematical on you, here's a suggestion for you: Try the hit-n-miss method, but get a rough shape. Then file it down and test fit as you do so constantly checking the contour against one of the tubes. Eventually you will get it, then you can trace it onto the...

    S. FL Rail Museum Train Show - Pictures!

Had a good time at the shows... met some folks from the "Other" forum and got to see some cool stuff. I've got a ton more pictures, but It's such a chore to go through them on the camera, they are each 2 megs! If I find anything else of particular interest I will post them here. -Alex :D...
