    Gauge - Layout Party

Well, what about me? 1) I have made little progress on my Wendy's. All the walls are "bricked" up. The suspended ceiling is finished and works beautifully when lit up. I even started some of the exterior striping (not in this picture) but have stopped. I plan to get more of the exterior done...

How's this for a First Mountain?

Thanks a lot everyone. We were very pleased for our first attempt that once we got it in the corner, we ran some trains and got very little done after that!  The background we created in Photoshop. It's the same mountain repeated and flipped around, with some clouds...

    Last Try

I agree, those clouds look fine to me. Mark, the guy whose mountain I was working on, liked them too. (We saw it when we posted the other picture.) When you've to buildings and scenery coming up you may change your mind about not liking them. I think they are great.

How's this for a First Mountain?

Over at a new buddies place and we spent all yesterday and part of today making this mountain. Getting it into the corner of his layout was not an easy task and required 3 hands, wood glue, a vacuum cleaner tube, pins, needlenose pliers, and other "unorthodox" items. :D (Don't ask.) Anyway...

    How many times????

It happened to me. I was scratch-building a timber deck truss bridge and there wasnt enough clearance underneath it. I had to scrap it and make a regular truss bridge instead. Fortunately, I only made a little bit of progress and went to check on that.

    Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers - N Scale

MarkB, I straightened out the wall on one of my research photos, then took a section of 2 bricks and tiled them endlessly to the size I needed, and the printed them out. Dash10, the fixative I have is 10 years old! I doubt it's around today in this brand, but it's called Patricia Nimrocks...
