Even though I'm only 19, my favorite steam locomotive is Pere Marquette 1225. I also have a soft spot for others too. #1361 is a great example of one of the other ones I like too. Its good that its still around and running, despite the time it had to sit at Horseshoe Curve for a while. Another thing is the old NYC Hudsons, streamlined and non-streamlined, which is a cool looking locomotive, its a shame there are non left of this mighty steam loco. One more is the NYC Niagaras, what a mean sounding locomotive, which i have on tape on "The Water Level Route". I also like the T1, a very cool looking articulated, too bad it had a short life on the Pennsy.
Long live the Fallen Flags and all living steam locomotives!!!

I agree with BillB of course. You have any pictures of the Rock Island locos? I have seen the UP's Big Boy at the National Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin...Impressive :thumb: The NYC had some nice looking looking locomotives. We can not forget the Southern Pacific's "Daylight". Then there is the "pretty" Southern Railroad's steamers of green and red roof (on the locomotives). I like them ALL... :thumb:
