A new Hobby Shop opened up a few towns away. The guy is super cool, and I like to shop local and support these young entrepreneurs. He has a little bit of everything. I helped him on his stock and pricing, which was a little off, but he had some very interesting stuff. I've posted two of the models I purchased from there, In the last couple of weeks I purchased three more. One was extremely rate, he was asking $60 bucks, but gave it to me for $40 (I felt like I burned him on that one), that's the Lola T70, 1/25 scale, they're going for $70 bucks on EBAY, they are a rare model, and when I opened it, I found it to be intimidating, it is extremely detailed, front and backopen to reveal everything)).

The next was an unusual but conventional '55 Chevrolet 2-ton truck. I had never seen this one before, and he had only one. It's normalcy attracted me, I got it for it's sticker price of $24.00, 1/48 scale, it comes with a lot of the stuff in the bed, this one will be a challenge to do justice to.

Yesterday, I went there and found an original 1960's made model of the '56 Ford Victoria 1/25 scale. This models has opening doors, and engine hood, with an engine in it! He gave me that '56 Ford for $30 bucks, again, the only one he had. I saved around $8 to $10 bucks compared to EBAY, and I got it right away. There's something to be said for that instant gratification. The '56 Ford Victoria has been re-introduced, but this is of the original runs.

I am making a point to always buy something from this guy when I visit his shop. I hope his Hobby shop thrives, there are so few in Connecticut. I thought I'd share this pic with you. :)

Great buys Z, and good for supporting the local shop. I would love to try that Lotus, but would never be able to.

I think that Lotus will be my son's problem, then again.
I'm not sure it should be built, they are kind of rare. But then again..................The Ford Victoria is enticing. there was a reissue of this model. The doors open, that clear roof, an opening hood and motor in there to greeble to life.
