Captured a few images there the other night. The Amtrak depot has apparently been closed for a few years, at least since 2000 or perhaps earlier. There is a passenger waiting room just a block from the station, in a converted tattoo parlor.

Nice shots. A real pity what they do to these little pieces of history. You would think the Route 66 Preservation Society would restore that depot to what it used to be.
I love that B&W shot with the lights and the gleam off the rails! What a shame that station isn't being used. You've preserved it nicely on film, though!

Thanks gang for the comments...if infact the reason the depot closed to begin with was asbestos related problems...that could be the reason for its delay/restoration. Abatement of asbestes costs a few $$...
