I am working with 4% grades on a area of 30"x80" door then a 5' leg elevated on the end

VERY NICE! It appears that your scenery will really have some dramatic vistas. It's going to be fun watching it all develop. By the way I like your track to scenery ratio, not too "tracky"....NICE WORK!!
