I only use printers that use pigment Ink. The link below explains the differences well. The Inkjet printer below only uses Pigment Ink and with the CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System) you will get years supplies worth of ink, they are purchased separately. Top link is the printer. It's the model that matters, not where you get it from. Pigment Ink allows for water forming as it does not smudge.

CISS system from above printer (they recommend this printer) The CISS has bulk refill bottles you can buy to refill the CISS bottles system, an incredible saving that pays for itself if you use a lot of ink and print a lot.

Vielen Dank für eure schnellen und guten Tipps . Leider fehlt mir im Moment die Zeit genauer darauf zu antworten.Ich werde das nachholen.
Beste Grüße

Thank you for your quick and good tips. Unfortunately, I am currently missing the time to respond more closely to it.I will make up for this.
Best regards

Thanks for the info, it will be useful for the next one. I didn't have this choice yet when I bought my printer with an integrated tank. Canon was the first brand to make one at that time, and pigment ink machines weren't yet available.

When you see what I have purchased, you will be impressed. With the CISS system, I should be able t print 1000's of pages with just what I have purchased, and all of the Ink is Pigment Ink. It's supposed to arrive by next Wednesday. ;)

The printer Canon MAXIFY MB2120 Printer (Wireless, can print from your phone) www.inkproducts.com does international orders:

Canon Maxify Printer.jpg

CISS SYSTEM)The printer will always read low on Ink, but it isn't and levels are easily refilled with resupply bottles t that can be purchased as a pack or individually in 130, 250 or 500 milliliter bottles @ $13, $24 and $39 dollars respectively, which would last for years, [probably 3000 pages worth of Pigment Ink and same as O.E.M. (I can't tell you how I know that). The cartridges come prefilled, around 100 pages worth of printing, this is a combo product from www.inkproducts.com $270 all inclusive with bracket for holding CISS system. :) :

The Canon Maxify printer came in this afternoon. If I would read instructions, I would far less trouble than I make for myself. The printers quality prints are unbelievable. I will be installing the CISS system within 2 days. It has to be installed while there's ink in the O.E.M. ink cartridges. Like they told me, it will always read low, but one look at the bottles, and you know how much ink is in there. The printer can be accessed from all the computers in the house, and will print from cell phones.

The printer has a really good scanner, and easily prints 120 lb. card stock paper. That was a necessity. I'm really happy with this printer. I've printed out 3 models I wish to build. I have some more surgery coming up, one will have a 6 week recovery, so just taking it day by day. Hopefully, with pain under control, I can make and design models again. ;)

I wish posting test pictures of just how well this printer prints would make sense, but it wouldn't. I tried printing photographic quality prints on matte paper that came out fantastic. I can only imagine with photo quality Kodak paper, they could be framed.

I then printed out two copies of a Biplane I wish to make,, an Avia B534,, probably the best wartime Bi-Plane ever made. One of these shot down a BF109 at the beginning of WWII before being over come by sheer numbers of enemy aircraft. The German and Italian air forces continued making the plane, as it was well suited for other types of missions.

We have that model in the Resource section, not too easy to make, but really awesome, with a fully framed cockpit interior. It comes in many liveries.

The prints came out excellent. I made 2 copies in case I mess up a part. All in all, I'm very satisfied with this printer. I have to print with the O.E.M. cartridges a few more times, then install the CISS system, and will just fill up the tanks when they get low. The bottles are translucent, so seeing the levels is quite easy. I was told they will always read low, but will always have ink, it's a matter of tricking the system. :)

So I mounted the CISS system on the printer today. I really need to start reading the instructions all the way first, then try to remember them. After I installed them, I popped the venting holes, which thankfully are hinged with rubber so you can't lose them. I decided to move the printer. My feet look like I lost a "Tye Dye' foot contest. Cleaned up that mess. The picture below shows the unit all together, it's prints fantastically. I will find it's final position this weekend. I can print from anywhere in the house, and from my cell phones, which is a really neat function. www.inkproducts.com really came through for me on this set up. Any errors were on my part for not reading the instructions thoroughly. Please excuse the mess in the room, I use that room for doing stuff like this. I left the CISS dirty to remind me the next time I go to move it to put in the air plugs. One more thing, this printer has no problem printing 110 lb. card stock. .

$279.00 for the whole setup.
:)
