zach, Overland Models made them in brass, Bachmann Spectrum made them in plastic. -Deano

bacchmann does not produce any new dd40 models, any you would find would be old or used ones, might be ones sitting ona shelf in some store for years.
athearn makes a semi model of one, you would have to change some details and cabs
ebay is the only place to them right now

they are usually between $60 and $120. a train show is also a good place to find them.

The Bachmann ones don't pull very well. Not much weight to them and they require wide radius curves to look good. Our club owned one sits on a siding. looking impressive.

ah, bachman isn't that bad. their SD45 could be better, but i like alot of their spectrum locomotives.
