Those are container cars, used to transport containers (intermodal). A lot of the earlier models had the bulkheads that you see...most of the more modern ones do not.

If you saw an entire train of these with no containers on them, those are known to most railfans as "baretable" trains, which are run to reposition these cars (usually indicates that there is a major imbalance in container shipping routes somewhere).

More specifically, they're Thrall double-stack container cars, probably 48 footers. They usually come in a set of 3 or 5 cars under one car number. In this case, they're owned by TTX which I believe is a subsidiary of General Electric's leasing companies.
