...People repairing a truck (like rolling it back under) on a piece of rolling stock?

I mean in the real world, not model.

OR any other pictures of repairs being done to cars?

I believe I saw one here about 2-3 months ago. I've seen plenty of pics of real life truck repair/exchange, but am at a loss as to where to find one quickly.

No, but I do have a picture of the trucks being swapped out in Newfoundland. The Nfld rwy was narrow gauge, and any cars brought to the island on the ferry had their trucks swapped for narrow gauge. Once the goods were delivered, the trucks were swapped back, and the cars sent back to the mainland.

Yep I do.
Look at my first CP yard tour , that explains the machine they use .
the last visit pictures one with it`s end lifted up.
I`ll see if I have some I did not post.

COOL! But how did they do that way back in the '40's? How wouls you replace a friction journaled car?

Old way of moving trucks and even cars was with a prybar or long crowbar against the wheel or whatever you could gat at, bottom end on the rail or ballast.
