    1:35 scale Exoframe Armored Trooper

Okay, I resized these on my computer so they'll upload... ...the Money Shots of the completed model (well, 90% complete, there are a number of details I want to paint when time allows... Chipping, painting the ammo belt, etc). Yeah, last two were just for fun... I enjoy Votoms...

    1:35 scale Exoframe Armored Trooper

Being a scale modeler at heart, I certainly painted details that no one gets to see on my pilot!

    1:35 scale Exoframe Armored Trooper

I did remember to document some of the build... Turned into a holiday weekend build marathon! I will have resize some of the photos, as my phone camera tends to turn on HDR mode (that, and learn how to control my camera better). First we have the Exoframe and generic driver. Then our...

    1:35 scale Exoframe Armored Trooper

I have hobby ADHD or something... In the middle of my papercard M113 build, I started a plastic kit from the Sunrise anime series Obsolete. Well, sort of... You see, they made one of their Exoframe kits (Good Smile) a tribute to Armored Trooper Votoms. Here is my build so far.

    M113 style APC Build

Happy Thanksgiving (turkey day in the USA)! Used my holiday time off before the big feast to knock out the first insert, the troop hatch. It was exceedingly successful so far! Especially with how good it looks with a couple discounts inside. Started greebles on the top and front. Good...

    M113 style APC Build

Got the main body together, and have my vehicle commander and infantry roof hatch cavities setup. I plan on building inserts for open and buttoned up vehicles.

    M113 style APC Build

Road wheels for the track, the Sudsy way. Kept the inner and outer faces of the wheels, but laminated the hub with 3 layers of cereal box type card stock. Cut 4mm x 100mm strips of paper card, and gave each wheel half the wheel part (where the solid rubber would meet the steel tracks). Then...

    M113 style APC Build

Everything in this sub-board is a wargaming miniature, specifically for Warhammer 40,000. Yes, this is a gothic science fiction version of an M113. So, to fit the setting, Eli takes the base vehicle (in this case an M113A1 or A2) and then adds some details that fit the 40K universe (lots of...

    M113 style APC Build

Finally got around to starting the Patoroch version of the M113 APC inspired, counts as, Classic Rhino. Started it a few nights back and for the main hull started and modified with some supports and some openings I intend to put crew into. Not quite ready to do a super detailed interior or...

    Alpha Strike (Battletech)!

I got together with @drtetrode this last weekend and taught him Alpha Strike. It's a simplified variation Battletech allowing for larger forces on the table and faster games. He had map sheets instead of terrain, so we used the rules for converting inches to hexes for moving and range. Worked...

    Battletech campaign company

Here is the rest of the Mech company. Each group of four Mechs is a Lance, or about like a tank platoon (4 combat vehicles). 3 to 4 Lances form a full mech company. Light Lance (under the above Phoenix Hawk) are my "gun fighters" a Wasp, Stinger, and Valkyrie. You'll likely note these are...

    Battletech campaign company

My local game group is starting a Chaos Campaign (freebie from the Catalyst website). So me being me, I 3D printed and painted all new mechs. First off, is the Phoenix Hawk jumping off of its kill, a luckless Javelin mech!

Battletech, where my miniature wargaming started...

Every battle needs an objective! This is my months long 3D printing and painting project of the Thunderhead Studios Hextech Forward Operating Base. A mighty objective to defend or seize! I estimate about 2-3 kilos of PLA went into the foundation/walls, and buildings. Four rolls likely...

Battletech, where my miniature wargaming started...

The FOB those green CAV buildings will go into... Well, it was a few kilos of PLA (including the structures)! It's a beast! My 12" (300mm) ruler for scale. Had to go to my garage to lay it out, didn't have enough room on the hobby bench for it setup! Needless to say, this will dominate a...

Battletech, where my miniature wargaming started...

So, I've NOT fallen off the face of the Earth (yet), but I did get sucked into Battletech even more this year with my 3D printer(s). Resin one might be down, but I ended up creating quite the painting backlog that I've been working on since. Some of the last models the Elegoo printed were...

Dr. Tetrode - Valkryie Build II - attempt with color.

The good thing about GIMP, if you happen to just 'save' a file, it defaults to it's native XCF file format... Which reminds me to always "Export as..." a new JPG when I scale down my images! I do keep the raw photos as well as 'web ready' exports as well.
