Having been a machinists a large part of my working life, I often wonder if people can really appreciate what goes into making the molds, and machining the many pieces that go into these trains. It's quite amazing. The hobby isn't exactly growing, one day, all these trains will be cherished...

O built a lot of models like this, and had the corner of mu fireplace looking like the edge of a small (in size and physical size). My cat destroyed the town, one building by the next. One house remains. :)

If you ever wanted to improve that model, you could print it twice, cut out the leaves, mirror them and make the plants pop out from the model. :)

These models are really nice when done with care. I was surprised seeing one of these types of architectural models in person, as opposed to seeing them on a monitor. The models give you a respect for what went into the real structures, and interpreting them into paper models. :)
