Now comes the custom plate to conceal the hole. To determine the correct shape I had two options: putting the model on to some paper and tracing the perimeter or something more, erh, well, "sophisticated". I chose the latter: If other people scan their bums, why not the cat, too...

The waving arm is attached. After glueing the flaps I applied some glue to the shoulder area to securely put it in place and to avoid a possible gap. The head is attached one flap at a time. No gap! :) And basic assembly is complete! :)

That looks very good! The Gozanti cruiser is on my todo list. When I get to it, I'll put magnets into four Bandai 1/144 TIEs and attach them to the bottom of the ship.
