    Garahbara Scenics

Question Woody, I have a question for you... In Aussie, do they run American Railway Prototypes, or British/European Prototypes?

    New Toys! I mean...new EQUIPMENT!

Rory, Yup. That is the one I bought. Great price, but I think I get more fun out of it than he does. Still a little too young...and so am I, I guess. ;) The only real problem was on the bridge with the lifts, the connecting pin is out far enough so when you connect the track it binds up...

    New Toys! I mean...new EQUIPMENT!

cool Rory, Looks like the same set I picked up for my nephew. He isn't quite 3 yet, so he doesn't get to play much with it, but it is there for him as he grows into it. I was a little disapointed in the quality of the connections between track (especially on the bridges) but think mounting...

Look!! -- Is it X-mas yet???

Merry Christmas all Well it is 6:10 (18:10) pm here, and I am about ready to call it quits to work and head home. Not much of a way to spend Christmas is it? I wish you all a Merry Christmas, and hope you all enjoyed it. Myself I don't get to see my family this year (not until the weekend)...

    Securing ground cover

I have a plaster base to which I need to affix some ground cover (sand ballast, ground foam, etc). Should I just sprinkle it on the dry plaster and spray with a 70/30 mixture of water and white glue? Or do I wet the groundcover with water and dish detergent, then spray with the glue mixture...

    Sculptamold?

Greg, I am getting similar feedback from others, who avoid using Sculptamold for flat/smooth areas. However, they say this is a paper-mache that causes the lumps and that the bonding materials will strengthen the lumps. If I am careful, or willing to work the stuff by hand, then it works...

    Sculptamold?

I sat down last night and mixed my very first batch of sculptamold. The mix itself had large lumps in it (about 1/4"x1/8" for the very largest) that were composed of not setup plaster but what looked like shredded cardboard. Thinking this was by design I proceeded to add the water to the...

    Model Power Farm House

looks great The 2nd house looks a million times better than the first one. Great job...the 3rd is great too, but it defiantly needs a dog or two and a beer drinking fat guy (I'm not busy ;) ).

    Highway Underpass

a suggestion A suggestion, I have noticed that what they call "HO" scale vehicles actually differ a lot in size. Especially in Autocarriers (the cars there look more like "N" when compared against a typical "HO" car). And semi trucks (deisels) tend to be oversize. If I were you I would plan...

    Bright idea #2

heralds I'm pretty sure I had some of the stuff you are talking about, and it is only slightly more sticky than a post-it note. I know it isn't temporary, but I am going to print some loco heralds up on it and stick it to my cars and what-not to see how it would look before I do anything as...

    Overhead Crane

Matthyro, we too had a snow free November...or I thought it would be. We've had snow everyday now for about 2 weeks...sometimes not a lot, but usually it comes down pretty good. Charlie, great looking crane there.

    Navigation Co.'s

Thanks Bill, I didn't think of it that way...I figured that it was becuase they were mapping and surveying as they went, but I wanted to be sure.

    Navigation Co.'s

I often see the older railways (usually logging routes) had names like Mill Creek RR and Navigation Co. Why were they calling themselves Navigation Companies?

    IHC cars are on sale

Hi, I don't know how good they are but all of IHC's basic cars are on sale for $1.98 - $2.98, these are usually about $5 - $10. Unfortanutly this doesn't include the Log Buggy's, BarnHart Loaders, of MOW cars which are only slightly discounted. Good luck finding the roadnames of your choice...
