Nice looking fleet. :thumb: Maybe the appropriate title should be "Rush Hour". :) Or, "Gentlemen Start Your Engines". :) George

    Adhesives Errata

You can use a water base contact cement to glue paper to plastic if it's a small piece of paper. The problem I've run into is that when paper gets wet, it wrinkles, so I'm stumped for an answer for larger pieces of paper. I'm anxious to hear the replies to this question. George

    For you traction people

I noticed the name "East Gotham" on the edge of the layout and did a Google search and found thishttp://hometown.aol.com/tractionfan/index.htm site: I haven't spent any time on the site, but it appears to have been built by Fred Miller and was in the Nov 2002 MR. George

    Frost Fence

Excellent tutorial, Drew.:thumb: I've made a couple chain link fences but I've built them on my workbench rather than on site. I soldered the frame together then laid the bridal veil on top and glued it to the frame. The method you used for the gates is similar to what I've done, but much...

And it ended up looking like this. I put 12 and a half hours into it. It's all assembly, no fabricating. Some of the assembly requires patience and care but it's no more difficult than other advanced kits. If you've built Tichy, Red Caboose or P2K kits, you can do this one.

My N scale layout & scratchbuilt stuff

Nice pictures. I particularly like the way you are modeling the landscape in the third picture. It provides a good setting for trains. It seems that the goal of many model railroaders is to fill all the empty space on their layout with track. :thumb: :thumb: George

Any experience using glue when hand laying track?

Jasper, I glued guard rails on a bridge using diluted Walther’s Goo on the bottom of the rails. I diluted the Goo with acetone so it spread easily and wasn’t stringy. It was code 83 rail. It’s on an approach to a coal pier so it arced from a grade to level which makes the rails want to...

    Thatched Roofs

Yes, my wife and I visited there a couple of years ago. My wife tolerates (that’s being generous) my stops at model railroads when we travel, but she was fascinated with the Pendon Museum. I’ve never seen such a high level of detail in model railroad scenery. You can distinguish the cabbage...
