    Halinski USS Archerfish 1:200 build

One last word about skins from me. The WWII Gato and follow-on Balao class boats featured butt-welded skins with the later using high-strength steel to achieve a 100ft greater dive depth (unknown to the Japanese). When you stand within 20-30 feet of one of these boats, you can see the seam...

    Halinski USS Archerfish 1:200 build

Careful attaching the skins. Make sure you do some test fitting. I built the model only to find that the skins did not mate at the bulkheads That was a real disappointment. I cannot tell you if the mistake was mine or not. I keep thinking I used cardboard that was too thick for the bulkhead...

    Great Smokey Mountain Railroad

Located in Bryson, NC (western NC about 2 hours north of Athens, GA off US 441). The whole family took my father-in-law on the trip to Nantahala Gorge to celebrate his 80th birthday. He and his father worked on the L&N back in the day. Restored cars are pulled by a 1955 EMD GP9. The line has...

    Marvin Beta Build

Marvin's Pistol Do you have an idea when you might be willing to release the pistol hand for the rest of us to try? Not trying to be pushy, but I am having such a good time with the Marvin build thus far! CTD

    Marvin Beta Build

Pistol hand I have never checked; is Marvin the same scale as his Pistol found on Chthulu's web page? Also, I have a suggestion on how to make the construction of his feet easier and stronger. I used the bottom sole as a template to cut suitably thick cardboard which I glued to the upper...
