    track plan layout help

I came up with a rise of 4.83" in 138" at a 3.5 per cent grade. I could be figuring this wrong. Also, I got 132" for a 42" diameter circle. I wonder how many more different answers we can come up with for this, LOL! Jim

I get my super glue (also known as CA) at my local hobby shop. It comes in thin, medium, and thick. Also, an accelerator and debonder is available for it. Jim

    Campbell Fine Scale Models

Thank you much for the info. I've been looking at the huge variety of Campbell bldgs and am amazed that a company could produce so many different ones. So far the only wooden bldgs I've built are a small Blair yard bldg and an AMB yard office. I really like building the wooden kits more than...

    Experimenting in large scale

Mike, that really looks nice. What a great size to work with. Like you, I'm also a woodworker, and could see myself building some of that size of stuff too. You better be careful or you may end up with a garden RR running all over your back yard. :) Cheers, Jim

Tnx all for the input. I've not only found out about Campbell Scale Models but have been introduced to three other neat websites as well. I've also discovered a lot of Campbell info at Arizona Rock and Mineral at: http://www.rrscenery.com/ I guess a next logical question is how are these...

    Lost webspace

Hi Shamus, Here's a thought. Along with the instructional CD that we're trying to coax you into doing, how about doing one with pictures of all your layouts. I, for one, would love to purchase one to have for my collection of model RR photos. Your pictures are an inspiration for all of...

Welcome to the Toronto Model Railway Show

Chris, what a great photo series of the show. I went to the Great American Train Show in Portland this winter but it wasn't anything like that! Val, I hope the NMRA is in the summer since I'll be riding my Gold Wing all the way from Oregon for that coffee and those snacks!! LOL...

    All sorts of Bridges

Hi Chris, That pic was taken up in the coastal mtn range, on hwy 26, between Seaside (on the Oregon Coast) and Portland, Oregon. There's a small RR line that runs from Portland thru the Coast Range to Tillamook, OR over on the coast. It services several mills along the way. It runs down the...

    If only

Let see, I could have someone else finish re-modelling the kitchen and then I could get back to working on my layout. Yeah, that would work!! Cheers from: "Remodeller" Jim
