    A Sunny Autumn Day

Don, I can appreciate your sentiments. Although it doesn't get that hot here in Dallas, September can still be pretty uncomfortable. However, I must admit, the last few weeks have been wonderful. Having grown up in Michigan, I do miss the actual changing of the seasons that you see up...

    Something for the Modelers

Neat pictures! I'm sure we'll be seeing this 'replicated' on the Scratchin' & Bashin' side of life someday soon by one of our very talented builders.

Cat's in the layout in the railroad room...

When I was younger I used to prefer dogs to cats, but now that I've gotten much older it seems that I prefer cats - even with their shortcomings! Jim, I can see where the term red pepper might have been confused for cayenne. :)

Cat's in the layout in the railroad room...

They just can't help themselves Unfortunately as much as we complain about these critters, they are only doing what is natural to them - such as chasing a moving object that looks like a mouse. It intriques them and you know what they say about curiousity and the cat. I'm sure that Abby gets...

    Add a Song! :) :)

Hey Mikey ----- I like it!! This is great for getting those creative juices flowing. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a songwriter or poet. I have been known to write essays about things I feel strongly about or have personal experience about. But I'll leave songwriting to those who are...

Ballasting Track On The PoorFork RR

I haven't tried ballasting yet, but you have a great idea about weathering it before you glue it down. Regarding the ballast, have you ever tried using an old ketchup bottle with the squirt top or empty salad dressing bottles to put ballast down? As always, enjoy seeing pictures of your work.

    How did that happen?

Could that be any different than a woman going shopping and buying something that she absolutely did not need "because it was on sale"????

    Train Station Kitbash (N Scale)

Val is absolutely right about the planters and the brick work. It's all these special touches that really brings this structure to life. You did a great job pulling this together.

    Forested Hills & Fall Foliage

Hey Jim how are you doing on your back drop?? I did use some of WS fall colors. However, on my first layout I used the WS tree kits and dried florals. On most of my layout I made regular green trees using the plastic armitures and clump foliage. I purchased craft spray paint from Hobby...
