Wow!! That's going to be some engineering prowess on your part I have no doubt in your capability. I'd probably use some TIG welder .04" wide for some of those parts.

I was doing Resin 3d printing back in 1983, when it was top secret. It was a proprietary machine, for fast prototyping. The resin they used was poisonous. I must say, that between the top secret nature of it and the smell, I didn't like it much. That's all changed now. The machine I worked...

Like I stated before, don't take that model to France, it will be stolen. I'd put a marker on it, so if it gets stolen, and is found, you can prove by the hidden marker, it is yours. The value of that model is incalculable. It truly looks excellent, great job, fantastic craftsmanship. :)

I'm having trouble with PETG. I have found I have to wrap the machine with heavy blankets to hold in the heat. I tried raising the bed temperature, but that causes deformities, such as corners to rise up. I printed a 14" high "Dummy13", I scaled high up 200%, a big boy, out of PETG, and that...

Damn Allen, you're modeling prowess is excellent. Too bad we aren't into the same thing. I just got a new Hot End for my Creality K1Max. I kind of print exclusively with a .4mm nozzle. The speed that the K1Max, I don't I could filament fast enough with any nozzle smaller. I'm so happy you...

Not sure what kind of ink your printer uses. I use strictly only Pigment Ink, with a CISS (Constant-Ink-Supply) connected to it. I can probably print out 5000 pages with the ink I have now. The reason I saw this is with Pigment Ink, you can wet the model and bend it with your fingers...

Future information from a fellow boat builder big and small. I used to sail a 10 meter sailboat (Pearson10 meter) by myself on long Island Sound. I think back, and I must have been nuts. She had a 50' foot masts, fully battened main sail, and a 150 Genoa (Jib). 5'9" Fin Keel, 12'9" inches...

You can get Balsa strips from most hobby sores. They will have other types of wood you might want to consider. You could use Infrared light activated glue for an instant attachment to anchor the end, the use a gap type crazy glue to run a bead, using the light activated glue. The use of...
