You do the complex Klingon Bell noses the best. Only making a mold and water forming could yield better results, not by much though.

Here is the failed large Romulan TAS D7, the mismatch really is obvious and cannot be fixed despite many efforts. I upgraded some of the model and resized the parts.

There was a guy making a huge Enterprise with just that! I cannot think of his name at the moment, but the other site does still have the thread I believe.
By the way, What do you guys think of this fold line to accommodate the curve on the bottom of the hydrogen collector vent? I would really like to hear some opinions.

Hmm... Difficult to tell without the overall assembly. If it works - why not. I would use it as a guide line for folding but would not add it to the template if it is not supposed to be a scoring line for a sharp edge.
