that's a good idea. but no, I don't have one. And I also don't have a template for stand for that ship. I think that's why I decided to try out the landing legs
But I thought about something to put on the wall, so I could attach the model to it in a way that it looks like it flies from the wall into the room. Something unobtrusive. Maybe using the magnets too
There are these clay/modeling mass with wooden frame, I suppose for making an imprint of the feet or hands of your newborn baby. Someone gave it to us as a present for our first child back then. We never used that.
Today was the day I put it to good use:
some board and glue ...
tiny magnets (like I used for the landig legs) ...
the print of the lando falcon floor plan from some darth lucas franchise book ...
that wooden frame for the baby feet/hands clay imprints ...

You could go to a weld shop and purchase a stick of TIG weld wire very cheap, he'll probably give you one, I couldn't imagine paying more that a dollar or two, and they are like 3 feet long, that's a lot of models. it's .035" thin. You can shape that, poke a hole somewhere in the bottom, or where ever you want, at the center of gravity and it will look like it's floating. The greebling really made this model pop. Great job and lesson shown and taught.
When I used to make aircraft instruments, they had a flag that would drop, painted Red to show you the gauge was not working. To harden a thin piece of steel wire (the one the Red Flag was attached too), you tie a piece to a fixed surface, wrap the other end around something thing but strong and pull that end steady but hard, you will feel it stretch, and that wire now is hardened, and will not flex.

I tried to achieve that effect with a fine sewing needle for my excelsior from prmodels. worked good and in front of the white wall and the right lightning it is sometimes barely visible. But with the needle it becomes dangerous the moment you pick the model up^^

The floor plan actually shows a little bit more elongated bow part with the auxiliary shuttle placed in the falcons mandibles, than the model reproduce. That's why I printed the plan in a slightly smaller scale than the model ro at least fit the projected length from bow to stern in order to fully hide the plan underneath the model.
But that's just a minor mismatch.

Do you have that manual?
I think there are at least two. An old one and the newer one with the lando falcon. I think the floorplan I used is from that manual. I found it on the web searching for pictures
I have the first one. Here you can see all the different models. If you need additional pictures Please let me know.
