I'll occasionally add a small diorama to this thread.

Prague Uprising 1945

Scale: 1:87
Author: Robert Navrátil
Publisher: ABC

Victory Day over fascism is approaching, so I will commemorate it with a diorama of the Prague Uprising 1945. A few words about this event:

The Prague Uprising (May 5-9, 1945) was a key armed uprising of the Czech people against the German occupation at the end of World War II. The spontaneous uprising in Prague, led by the Czech National Council, led to the declaration of the end of the Protectorate and helped accelerate the liberation of the city by Allied troops.

Model:

The diorama contains a rebel Hetzer, a German Sturmgeschutz III and a barricade. For now, I have glued the rebel Hetzer together. I am constantly adjusting it, I have slightly emphasized the wheels and other details that were only drawn, and I have also added a few things, e.g. machine gun...

So I glued another model into the diorama - the Sturmgeschütz III self-propelled gun. Self-propelled guns were intended to support the attacking infantry. Several of these self-propelled guns took part in the Prague Uprising on the side of the Wehrmacht and SS units, and one StuG III was demonstrably destroyed by the insurgents with an armored fist on the corner of Staromestské námestie and Parížská Street. Just like the Hetzer, I modified this gun - I emphasized the wheels and other details that were only drawn, and I also added smoke after the hit...(it's just loosely inserted there, so I can still edit it or not use it at all)
