I have hooked up a lot of people actually. Many got married, and have kids. Now I just mind my own business, but when I was much younger I knew so many people who's only connection was me, so I introduced them, usually by having a small party at my apt. and telling each of the people that the other person liked them. That was like a magnet to steel.
