I sometimes add a race car here. ;)

As I learned, Mr. Antonický is celebrating his 60th birthday this year, so it would be appropriate to recall at least a few models from his wide range of work that appealed to me and that I grew up with. The first model had to be this Ford, which I have fond memories of... It was probably the first model I built by this author... it's a shame that the model was not preserved... so now I've made a repeat after 38 years.

Ford Sierra XR4i

This is a circuit version of the car that appeared after 1985 on tracks all over Europe (for example, it could be seen at the Brno Grand Prix in 1987)

This is a simpler, hand-drawn model, but that doesn't detract from its attractiveness. I only modified the model very slightly - modified the grille with recessed lights, slightly modified the wheels and added a base. A few photos:

Those Ford XR4I (XR4TI in the U.S.) transmissions work well in classic MG Midgets, giving you a syncromesh 1st gear and a 5th gear for highway cruising. Unfortunately, in 10 years, I haven't been able to find one. Those were really nice cars, one of the last rear wheel drive ones too. ;)

You can learn a lot by gluing paper models. ;)

Thanx, but these are simple models, with which I want to remind myself of the work of Mr. Antonický, who was a prominent author of models in the ABC magazine, but also in the Slovak magazine Zenit, and it also takes me back a few decades to the past when I glued them, they are pleasant memories...:)
By the way, I already have another car ready, a Volvo 240, so I will take a picture of it and hopefully publish it tomorrow so that the Ford is not alone here ;)

Volvo 240 Turbo

Scale: 1:43

The Volvo 240 Turbo, specifically the Nordica edition, is a sought-after model known for its racing pedigree and classic boxy design. The 240 Turbo was introduced in 1981 with a 2.1-liter B21ET engine producing 155 horsepower. It later saw success in European Touring Car Championship (ETC) and Deutsche Touringwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) racing, with enhanced versions reaching 300 horsepower and speeds up to 260 km/h. The Nordica edition is a specific trim level known for its sporty features and is often associated with the racing heritage of the 240 Turbo.

I have glued together another successful racing car from the 80s. I have modified the model only very slightly - a modified grille with recessed lights and I have also added a base. A few photos:

I added another 1:43 scale car by M. Antonický. This is a rally version of the car with the crew of Walter Röhrl/Christian Geistdörfer, who successfully completed the World and European Championships with it.

I modified the model very little - modified the grille with recessed lights, slightly modified the wheels, added a mat and made the car a little dirty. A few photos:

Love this collection of cars you have made! :)

Thank you, I overlooked this scale because the models in it seemed simple to me, but I see that they are quite nice models that can be glued together relatively quickly with a nice result...I will add models in 1:32 and 1:24 scale later. ;)

This time I'm adding not a racing car, but an ambulance developed for quick assistance at races. ;)

TATRA 624 NAREX

Scale: 1:43
Author: Michal Antonický
Source: Zenit

Another 1:43 scale car from M.Antonický has been added. This time it is a Tatra modified into a fast ambulance. A few words about the real car:

The Tatra 623 was a two-seater car with an engine in the back, developed for quick assistance at races and in normal traffic. First, it was created by rebuilding Tatra 613-2 vehicles by the rescue organization AMK Narex. In 1986, the team participated with its eight T623s in the first F1 race in the Hungarian Grand Prix to provide assistance. The FISA commissioner then declared that it is one of the three best teams in the world. The last GP of Hungary, in which the T623 participated, was in 1995. Due to the increased rear space above the engine, the "Tatra 624" had more internal space for medical equipment. There was enough space inside for a stretcher and a paramedic, who could treat him during the transport. (source wikipedia)

The model was released in both ABC and Zenit, I chose a slightly more interesting version from Zenit. I modified the model only very slightly - modified mask with recessed lights, slightly modified wheels and added a base. A few photos:
