Parts for AHM

I need to find a parts source for obtaining a driveshaft for the 4-4-0. Does anyone have any info?

The only luck I have had finding AHM parts has been finding basket-case locos at train shows.
IHC parts may interchange but I'm not sure If IHC parts would be any easier to find.

Have you looked on eBay? I've seen a lot of inexpensive steam locomotives on sale for parts.

www.golfmanorhobbies.com has most of the remaining AHM/Rivarossi parts line. Their service is not very personable but OK.

Take a small hex nut that fits in the "cup" portion on each end. SCrew one on each end of a short piece of brass threaded rod. Solder in place.

Paint black and you have an instant, made to order, driveshaft.
