Hi everyone!!!

I mentioned in a previous post (on the Daedalus battlecruiser) that i want to redo the Imperial Star Destroyer (ISD) using the greebling technique.
I've just searched for that post and it was back in 2023... i just realized how long it's been and how little time i've spent building papermodels :(

However, i was struck all of a sudden by the desire to cut-fold-glue, so i opted for a model that i considered it would be a relatively quick build - the ISD. This is my 3rd build of this model - the previous 2 were gifted to some colleagues that are also fans of Star Wars.

I think the model is well-known - the one from some long-gone Japanese site (link to the original page is not available).

As mentioned, i used the greebling technique to add some details, based on some existing shapes on the model.

Here's the main body, stand (which i reinforced with cardboard later) and the main body with part of the superstructure

And the finished model - bottom view, with some of the added details, using the greebling technique.

The underside looks a bit more detailed compared to the top, as more shapes (of different sizes) were available and could be emphasized.
Maybe some more details could be added on the top side, but they would be very small and IMO would not have a significant impact - might add them later jus to see how it looks.

Hope you like the final result!
Have a great one!
E

Very impressive... even if you just add tiny squares here and there, they would catch the light and add extra depth, such as the larger parts do.

The end result is for you to decide, if you're happy then leave it alone and move onto another build sharing the results with all of us

Thank you!
To be honest, i'm not fully happy with it from this point of view - some more details could be added, and i plan to return to this model soon and add more details, as you said - the tiny squares currently missing from the superstructure.
I moved to another model - the Atlantis space shuttle from paper-replika; i'm halfway through the build and will post some pictures soon.
