Ford F550 Super Duty Ambulance (Polk County)

I'm would buy a clean 1979 Ford F-150 if I could find one. They road slightly higher than an automobile, and could carry much with the helper springs. The 1973 to 1979 are excellent trucks. I put many miles on one, easy to fix and just wouldn't die.

I have combined the two halves of the model and begun cleaning up the mesh. While doing so I found a way to eliminate one step at the bottom (green). It would have been 1.6mm thick, so extremely difficult to line up and build properly.

The revision gives you a much more fool-proof flat bottom:

They will consist of laminated plates on the final build. Again, pretty straight-forward.

The window frames are 3mm thick, so they should give you enough space for glueing in the windows.

Yesterday I was conferring with Chris about the frame structure of these cars. He sent me some very insightful information which gave me some new ideas to create a stable connection between the cabin and the box. I'm fleshing out the revisions now and I really think that they will work even better than what I had before. And while doing additional research I found a VERY useful image of the back of the cabin which I will use for texturing. :)

A quick preview of the texture. I'm using as many details from the pictures @Rhaven Blaack sent to me but they have to be adapted to make them fit. This is taking much time but I'm progressing steadily.

Meanwhile I have solved the colour shifting issue in Corel. I changed the colour management from "standard" to "web" which immediately turned the colours back to normal. Stay tuned! :)

You know. of you made a white body and black body vehicle, it would be even more awesome, if that's possible. ;)

A small extra: When you build a model of a car the bottom usually stays empty because you will rarely see this area. However, I think something should be there to break up the monotony of the bottom. So I made up a texture mimicking a working machine. Please note that this does in no way reflect how the car looks in real life. But it looks much better than plain dark grey. :)
