I purchased this model back before Thanksgiving and decided that now was as good of time as any to start it. I have never built a train before, so I don't know what to expect. I also purchased the F7B unit as well as the PineGrove sleeper car. I don't know if I will build them all at once or space them out. I purchased them from E-Cards. They come in O scale (1:48) and I printed them in HO scale(1:87) by reducing the print scale to 55%. This model was produced by Paper Trade.
Update: I ran into some problems with the build and parts that required me to make some alterations. First... the base was 3 pieces, and I installed the rear one backwards (instruction shows the hole is in the center, but on the part it is closer to the end). Second... the body formers are in the wrong place. If you cut out the windows in the side of the body, one of the formers shows in the middle of it. Below is the reworked part, as well as the control room?/cockpit.
Update: I got a little more done. I did a section of track all the road wheels and started on one of the trucks. It has taken a while, my big hands make it hard sometimes to make and maneuver small parts.
