I have owned more Toyota's than I can remember. That's a really nice model you are building.
My favorite was my 1973 Toyoya Celica. I loved that car. I put around 100K miles on it. If I had known then, about what I know about cars now, I would have never sold it.
The pic below is exactly what my car looked like. It had a 4 speed transmission, was great in the snow, and great on gas. It had a 1.8 liter Overhead cam motor that was more than enough. I commuted in this car for 5 years, 45 miles each way, it never let me down.
