Batalha Monastery; Edições Asa; 1:260

That vaulted ceiling would make one heckuva model. ;)

Thank you for your comments.
Next will come the last part before the complete model. Its an amazing part of the monument that will be unfinished forever and have some very complicated shapes.

Continuing, I prepared some pieces to use at the end of the model.

As you can see, these pillar-like pieces have a somewhat complicated shape.
These pieces were used to assemble the unfinished chapels, which is the section I most feared assembling due to its complexity.

I confess that this unfinished part was the part I enjoyed visiting most in the monument. Also put together some more pieces.

Finally! After many months of work, largely due to my wanting to cut out the details of the monument's ornaments. I think it was well worth it because it gave the model a much more realistic look.

The model has some design and fitting errors that I tried to disguise as best I could. None of the errors are serious. Despite everything, it's a pleasure to have such a relic and rarity at home. A 100% Portuguese model.

There was a lot to write, both about the monument and the model, but I'll let the photographs speak for themselves.
