Hello, sharing another WIP. It's my 2nd print project after printing the 1/200 scale Space Battleship Yamato from Gambody. I do have a Yamato digital design for a paper model, but I would have to rebuild the digital model from the keel up completely, so I went the easy way and purchased one. It is a very good model of the ship. I do think the scale is a bit undersized tho. For a ship that size, it is also lacking bridge interiors. No recreation rooms, and the belly launch bay detail is too simple; I could say none.

I refer to my Space Battleship Yamato art books for detail reference. As usual, the official designs and what showed up in the anime don’t match, and I follow both as best I can.

The Battleship is printed with PETG-HF using a 0.2 nozzle at the highest detail 8mm setting. My Bambu P2S is an excellent printer. As detailed as the interior prints are, I reach its limits; I will be shopping for a resin printer for higher fine detail printing.

Feedback welcome.

I grew up watching "Star Blazers" when I was a youngster. I greatly enjoyed it. Several decades later, I watched "Space Battleship Yamato". I greatly enjoyed that series as well. The Yamato (ARGO) is (and always has been) on of my favourite SCI-FI ships.
You have done a GREAT JOB on this project.

As for the paper/cardstock model that you were designing, (personally), I would like to see you finish it. I would build it.

Once again, thank you for sharing these videos with us.
