    Silveroxide Memorial build, Super Chimera

Greebles! Smoke grenade launchers, headlight clusters, and Jerry can mounts with straps. Given the larger scale of the design, it was a breeze getting these made up and mounted compared to what I'm used to!

    Mandalorian and Elf

Took a break from building this weekend to paint up a couple of 3D printed busts. Both were supportless models printed at .05 mm on my modified Lulzbot Taz 5 with Matter Hackers Build PLA. Primed, and painted with Army Painter Speed Paints and then regular acrylics. First off is the...

    Silveroxide Memorial build, Super Chimera

Got drive train all put together and primed along with the inside of the fenders. Attached the fenders, added some of the additional armor and gussets, and called it a night. From here, it's on to the tracks! Lots of the same little pieces with the track pads over the next week.

    Silveroxide Memorial build, Super Chimera

Correction on the road wheel count... 14 down, 14 more to go for the other side! I also made the inner wheels more simplified on my build.

    Silveroxide Memorial build, Super Chimera

I used a circle cutter (Olfa) and 1/4" hole punch (crafting type, though an office on might work).

    Silveroxide Memorial build, Super Chimera

One wheel down, only 13 more to go! Made some tweaks... Hopefully they turn out!

    Silveroxide Memorial build, Super Chimera

Found the official periscopes... After gluing these on. Ended the night on the fenders. Will reinforce the skirt next, then get ready for road wheels.

    Silveroxide Memorial build, Super Chimera

Baby steps today... Adding periscopes to the hatch. Scratch built, as best Infiguted from his photos, and some elements I used on the M113 build, just scaled up a tad.

    Silveroxide Memorial build, Super Chimera

Don't mind the googly eyes... Goofy now, but awesome dome shapes after primer! Silveroxide's method of shaping paper into a dome is beyond my skillset at the moment. But I do want to come back and try it in th future.

    Silveroxide Memorial build, Super Chimera

After getting the news of Silveroxide's passing this morning, I decided to build one of his designs to honor his memory. I found Zealot after discovering his work on the 40k forum Dakkadakka. This his Super Chimera. I had started a thread earlier, however I found I probably deleted it...

Departure of a good friend and master model builder.

I'm saddened to hear this news. He is a very much a reason I discovered Zealot after running across his stuff on the Dakkadakka forum and desiring to find where he got all those cool card stock models he built routinely. O7 (salute) and blue skies sir. I just posted this information onto his...

Tank track jig and tutorial video

Not my tutorial, just something I found searching for paper card scratch building on YouTube. Well worth reviewing though, it's a 10 year old video.

Tank track jig and tutorial video

YouTube from TinkerTerrain's channel from over 10 years ago. While he used Evergreen platicard stock, I suspect his track jig (for a scratchbuilt Baneblade tank for 40K no less...) would work in paper as well. I might have to make one...

    1:35 scale Exoframe Armored Trooper

Thank you everybody! I hope to have some more photos soon of some more work with regard to adding more details to the mech itself.

    1:35 scale Exoframe Armored Trooper

Sadly, that's likely the going rate, I picked this one up a couple years ago. Drives me nuts the way mecha models are produced in such 'limited' quantities! I'll give Good Smile a bit of slack though, they aren't Bandai, they only have so much factory space... But, it's still frustrating.
