Then I started assembling the church, which is the main body of the entire complex, measuring 80 meters in length, 22 meters in maximum width, and 32.50 meters in height! In these photographs, I will not show the complete church yet, but only a part of it.

Next, I glued the roofs of the Afonsine cloister and made a small staircase that exists in the corner of the cloister. I had to make some adjustments to the roofs because they didn't fit together perfectly.

I started the model with the Afonsine cloister. Originally, this cloister was begun later at the behest of King Afonso V, and therefore has a more austere and simple architecture. It was also one of the first two-story cloisters in Portugal with a porch on the upper floor.

After a Portuguese monument (Jerónimos Monastery), why not another? This time, the theme will be the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, better known as the Batalha Monastery, which is also the name of the town where it is built. The monastery was commissioned by King John I after the Battle...

The model is finished. Almost everything matches, and the paintwork is beautifully detailed (thanks to its designer), but it's not exactly an easy model. I hope you like it and appreciate it, because we're unlikely to see another like it. But I have another from the same batch under construction...

Aside from the church, the assembly of the other buildings doesn't have much to do with it. It was here that I had some problems fitting some of the pieces together. Still, it wasn't anything too serious.

    Jerónimos Monastery; Edições Asa; 1:390

After the introduction, the assembly of the model itself does not have much of a story. The number of pieces is relatively small, only 113, but it is a laborious model. The graphic quality is very good, especially considering the age of the model and the fact that it was drawn by hand. The hand...

    Jerónimos Monastery; Edições Asa; 1:390

Today I bring you a model that is a rare relic. The theme is a Portuguese monument by a Portuguese publisher and a Portuguese cartoonist who has already passed away, José Garcês, a man known for his comics. The model is the Jerónimos Monastery and is dated 1989. The Jerónimos Monastery is one...

    Defiant; Orlik; 1:33

Hi Friends. The Boulton Paul Defiant was an unusual British fighter aircraft of the Second World War. Called “turret fighter” or fighter with a tower. The idea that led to its concept was to create a fighter plane that, instead of having fixed armament, had its armament concentrated in a...
