Better Modeling with Meta/Pep/P.N – Tutorial 1: Introduction

It's a percentage. so .990 would be 99% of it's current size. Other than one decimal place extra to the normal scale window I haven't found anything new here. Cheers JTF

You could use the "create face" option. Make a new object. On the front example. select the top left corner then the bottom left where the curve and the box meet and the next point to the right. This should create a new triangle in the new object. Then repeat, top left corner point, 2nd...

It appears from your picture that the object you are looking at (eye) and the object selected (blue highlight) are different. I think they need to be the same. Cheers JTF Edit: Replied before reading Jabats reply. Oops

skupilkinson, very impresive. I would never had a go at design if not for this tutorial. A big thanks to Jay. I'm also searching all the other tutorials on this site so a big thanks to who write and take part in these type of threads. I'm now working on the follow up to the Dassault SuE I...

Better Modeling with Meta/Pep/P.N – Tutorial 1: Introduction

Hi nothing, I found wings the hardest part on the Dassault SuE I've only successfully completed one set of wings, so Im no expert, but I'm happy share. The drawing I had for the for the SuE had two cross sections for the wing profile, therefore the wing is effectively spit into 3 part. I...

Better Modeling with Meta/Pep/P.N – Tutorial 1: Introduction

Nothing discarded. I've had a look at some other models which come as Pepakura files and they seem to use the approach of having the 3D model exploded. I might take a copy of my model and cut it up a bit so as to have more objects and then unfold them one at a time. I could then edit each...

Better Modeling with Meta/Pep/P.N – Tutorial 1: Introduction

Rather than wait for the installment on paper unfolding I though I'd go ahead and throw the Dassault SuE into Pepakura. Result: Too many faces (# of faces 1134). It may take a very long time to assemble. OK I'll wait for the tutorial. In the meantime, any advice for the model. Should try and...

Better Modeling with Meta/Pep/P.N – Tutorial 1: Introduction

Just had a thought after posting. I could always use the doughnut primitive and move the out side points to make the cube. Again, long winded but at least my circle would be round. Cheers JTF

Better Modeling with Meta/Pep/P.N – Tutorial 1: Introduction

That's cool and simple. But those option don't show in the LE version. I guess my only option is to loads of vertical lines in the cube and then cut a circle with a knife. A bit long winded and I don't think my circle will will be very round. Cheers JTF
