Not sure what price you are referring to, but the Liquid tape is around $6.50, and you could do 100's of tires with that, and also use it for it's stated use. Maybe you are referring to a real Lancia Stratos? Yup, they are out of my price range, as all new cars are! ;)

This model would do well in a plastic model box, to keep out moisture ( you may want to put a light satin finish to keep moisture from warping it over time), and dust off of it. It's excellent! :)

Excellent job on the seams, and overall build. The model is very clean. You can't tell what it's made of looking at the pictures. ;)

If you paint the "tire" part of the wheels with "Liquid Electrical Tape", they will look like rubber. You can add treads using string and thins strips of thin paper, you can practice on flat sheets of paper till you get the treads you are happy with . Did you know only 492 of these cars were...

This model is of a very historic building. Great choice. I might have made a copy of that model (which is fine as long as you own the original copy (as you do). This would give you the ability to "greeble' that model. I would have cur out the arches to give the interior of the courtyard more...

Excellent build. The individual parts were cut with such care. The finish model could only be excellent looking at the perfect parts that make it up. :)

Those Ford XR4I (XR4TI in the U.S.) transmissions work well in classic MG Midgets, giving you a syncromesh 1st gear and a 5th gear for highway cruising. Unfortunately, in 10 years, I haven't been able to find one. Those were really nice cars, one of the last rear wheel drive ones too. ;)
