The flying pumps and Vanderbilt tenders give them so much character compared to other steamers. Plus, I've always thought the white rimmed drivers were very classy.

Okay C&O fans, I have a question, or rather a few. What paint schemes has the C&O used over the years besides the yellow and blue scheme? :confused: I know they used to have pullman green cars but when did they phase them out? And when were the yellow and blue ones introduced? Thanks!:mrgreen...

There isn't much online about C&O passenger equipment period. :( Do you know what paint schemes were used and when? When did they switch from the old pullman green to the blue and yellow?

Has anyone bought one or more of the new Rapido passenger cars. I've seen them in stores and the quality looks almost too good to be real. :shock:Are they worth the price? How smoothly do they run?

I bought it from an online dealer. He was willing to exchange it, but he's out of that roadname.

Its a BLI Mikado. Its brand new, I'm gonna send it back to the factory to get repaired.

Unfortunately, my awesome new Mikado is turning out to be a devil in disguise. It makes a weird clicking sound which I tracked down to a misaligned siderod assembly. :curse: I can't figure out how to fix it. This engine is starting to become a royal pain you know where. Anyone know a good...

I love that 0-8-0 Steve, what colors do you weather your steam engines with? Deano, nice detail on that loco :thumb:, I've always had trouble with snow plows and sand pipes.

2-8-2 USRA Heavy Mikado This is my newest addition, a BLI Heavy 2-8-2. Its an impressive runner and the sound is amazing now that I fixed a backwards wheelset and lubricated the running gear. In the background is my old but reliable Bachmann GS4 Northern.

Ditto that, I wish I had a basement. No one in AZ realizes how much cooler it is below ground level, they only see how much it costs to dig in hard soil. Its not that hard really.
