Three old card models lost and found

I really want to do that too, as you can see from my costume AT-ST, I'm a big fan of adapting, modifying and scratch building. I do this all the time with plastic kits. I really look forward to building these. I'm an artist by profession. I also do a lot of texture creation for 3D models and...

Three old card models lost and found

That's exactly what I was thinking Revell-Fan. I'm actually scanning these three in today, because I know these are rare kits. I'm in the U.S. and I can't find any state-side places to get these good paper cards, most of these good ones are Polish. I think I got these either from Amazon a long...

Looking for a UH-60 Black hawk card model

My kids just got to go on a field trip to see the UH-60 Blackhawks at the Air National Guard in Los Alamitos. I wanted to build two Black Hawk paper card models for them, but haven't really found any. Do you have any links to some nice ones? Not too simple but also not too complex - mid range...

Klingon Bird of Prey AMT 1/350 scale

So when I get my 1:350 Enterprise Refit completed, I'll put this kit in front of it to reenact the scene, though I don't want to do battle damage to my Enterprise - I'm trying to have it done like Enterprise in The Motion Picture. Though, I may rethink that. I don't have lights in the Bird of...

Klingon Bird of Prey AMT 1/350 scale

Thanks! Definitely my favorite enemy vessel in the Star Trek universe. I remember seeing it for the first time in Star Trek III Search for Spock, and just loved the thing.

AT-ST Imperial Walker - from card model to costume

Of course, my AT-ST walker will be stunted in growth because my 9 year old is, well you know... "Aren't you a little short for a..." walker?!

AT-ST Imperial Walker - from card model to costume

I cannot say that I'm the original thinker of this idea of scaling up plans from the AT-ST card model. My wife saw this video: And then I saw that a designer named Tom Judge made their own costumes based on that same AT-ST card model, and both of us said "Why not?!?" :)

AT-ST Imperial Walker - from card model to costume

Thanks!! I ran out of hot glue sticks, LOL!! So payday is tomorrow and I'll be making a store run tomorrow to stock up on those and a few more cardboard boxes from Home Depot. I finished most of the build for the waist or hip section. I used heavy duty suspenders that I got from Amazon.com...

Klingon Bird of Prey AMT 1/350 scale

Hello! Here's my Klingon Bird of Prey finished model. It's the 1/350 AMT kit - which is good cause that will compliment my 1/350 PL Enterprise Refit that I'll be building. I spray painted the base a dark green enamel, and then dry brushed all the rests of the details. Then I gloss coated it...

Three old card models lost and found

I just found these in my garage. They were lost for so long! Trying to find things in my garage is a difficult thing, lol! Has anyone built these particular models? How would you rate them?

AT-ST Imperial Walker - from card model to costume

Here's more pictures of the build. This was just a test to see if it was wearable and light enough. I just hope my son doesn't trip over his shoe lases, or it's going to be an ugly fall, just like the logs tripping up the walker in ROTJ. Now

AT-ST Imperial Walker - from card model to costume

This is kind of a unique post in that, it's not a standard card model, but it is made of paper - of sorts. I'm building for my two boys, ages 7 and 9, a Halloween costume of the AT-ST Imperial Walker from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Basically, I upscaled the superb plans from the AT-ST...

    Hello fellow hobyists

I'm very new to the art of paper card modeling. But I'm sold on it, from what I see. I usually model in plastic, and I scratchbuild. Currently I am working on the 1:350 scale, Polar Lights v1 USS Enterprise, you can see my progress at my StratoArt blog - http://stratoart.blogspot.com/ I...
