    Someting odd is going on

The issue is straightforward. Simply adjust the quantum phase shift modulators to the inverse square root of the warp field matrice's temporal warp field buffers. This may appear obvious at first sight, but you would be surprised how many novices mistake the warp CORE buffers for the warp FIELD...

Peco Turnouts - controls? dpdt vs taping a bolt vs. ?

Incidentally, Peco makes really nice momentary toggles. I believe the catalog number is PL - 26. They're much better looking than most, and you can also get a ready-made housing for them - that holds six switches.

    Super thread

"Anyone want to guess when it will hit 2000? Take a guess, month, day, hour and minute for the 200th post. No prizes, just for fun." Unequivocal proof that moderators do NOT have girlfriends. :D

    55 Code track question

I use Peco Code 55 track, and you need the correct joiners. Code 80 joiners are too big. Incidentally, Peco and Atlas joiners are interchangeable.

A truly fascinating history indeed! And to think that you found this jewel languishing on a shelf in a hobby shop!!! It has some of the "art deco" qualities that are so collectible in pieces of that period. BRAVO on a great find. I've occasionally come across somthing wonderful on a...

Vacation on Martha's Vineyard (lots of pics)

I hear you, Pete. I've always lived next to the ocean - half of my life in Seattle on Puget Sound, the other half in Boston. I don't think I could ever live inland for very long. There's something about waking up in the morning with the cool smell of salt wafting through the window...

New Train!! pictures!! 1930's Marx Streamliner

A fascinating train. As some of us (like me) are not familiar with toy trains, could you give us some history behind this particular model? And how you acquired it?

    mountain

That's a mighty fine lookin' mountain you got there! Just remember that the building of a model railroad tunnel creates a rare physical phenomena known as Murphy's Discombobulating Vortex. This is an unusual warp field that causes derailments and uncouplings along a stretch of track that...

    Disproportionate loco speeds

Come to think of it, is your train so long that one real engine can't pull it? You could always use a couple of dummy engines for that prototypical look.
