Do you know if the GP-38 is supposed to have directional lighting? I am trying to understand if the light is on when it should be off (not enough insulation) or if it is off when it should be on (not enough connection). They are two different situation and might require two different solutions.

I had a similar situation: cork roadbed attached to plywood with wood glue. I didn't think to soak it and just went at it with a putty knife. It took me a little while but I got it up (along with a few bits of plywood). I now use latex caulk to hold down my roadbed and track. It has enough...

While running my Atlas GP-35 around my layout I noticed that is slows down significantly, to almost a crawl sometimes, going around the curves ( radius = 10 in. ), even when not pulling any cars. It runs fine on straight track. None of my other engines have this problem so I don't think it...

I don't think they look that much worse then black, but then I haven't done much weathering of my equipment. I actually just ordered some couplers and on a whim decided to get them in brown so I am hoping I won't be disappointed. What color would brand new prototype couplers be? An metallic grey?

Neat. What did you use to weather them? I like the hopper, it looks really good. The engine and box car look dirty, but almost too uniformly dirty. I liked how the hopper seemed a little dirtier at the ends around the wheels.
