Hello everybody.
And so we begin our jorney...
The model is 1:24 scale, some parts (wings and tail) are metallized
The model is designed as skeleton with wrappings. I don't really like this type of construction so it's going to be a challenge for me
The model comes with three cardboard pages...
Snake, is this a newer type of the cutter, with ratchet top handle? I have the older type, with thinner non-ratchet handle. It is quite usable but my fingers get tired after 5-6 pieces. How is the type you're using, in terms of comfortably of use?

To summarize this journey
The model is not bad at all.
There are some places where need to be careful.i wouldn't advise this model to beginner, medium plus skills are required.
What I didn't like is a simplified front grill and bad fit between front door, the wings and the part below the...
Hello all
This is the last update on this build.
I made the license plate and the side mirrors. I didn't paint the edges of the license plate deliberately.
Side mirrors' reflective side is covered with 3x8 mm piece of household aluminum foil.
The rods are made from thinnest solder I had, I...
So, there are only three parts to be mounted: two side mirrors and a front licence number plate...
Was looking for the brackets for the mirrors And decided to use thin solder for this.
Then I built the mobile fire hose reel. This reel was carried on the back of the firetruck. When arriving on scene, one or two of the firefighters would remove the reel and begin rolling off the line while the truck was being parked and set up.
Not too difficult, just need to be careful and...
Hello all
This time quite large update. I am getting closer to a finish line with this model.
Continued with the three stages ladder, some wire parts and then switched to manual fire line reel. This reel was used to speed up the firetruck setup process. I wasn't careful enough with the cutting...
Hello all
One more update, pretty small.
So, I made and mounted the side waterline ports and then moved to main water hose casings. These are represented as 4 red tubes mounted on the rear compartment roof.
I really don't like making long thin tubes from paper, especially when the parts are...
Sometimes you can loose this pesky mm in the middle. That means that the frame should be disassembled to do the sandwich trick. Assuming it can be disassembled with no damage...
Thanks everybody!
I tried to build several models designed with skeleton frame. I had serious issues with fitting of parts. Maybe I used incorrect cardboard.
I like the "skin" method proposed here, maybe I will give it a try
