Another nice material is aluminum armature wire and it comes in many sizes. It's soft and very easy to bend. You can get it from any good art supplier. I get mine from thecompletesculptor.com

When I have to fill in a big gap, I mix superglue with talcum powder, it becomes hard like plastic, is very sandable, and hardens pretty fast. You have to do it outside though, it stinks a bit, but it works great! And it tales paint just like styrene. It makes joints like the ones you're doing...

Yeah, just print another page and you're good to go again! When I was building this, I saw a few pics of another build in progress, the modeler had glued foil to the chrome areas, and the parts looked amazing. If I ever build this one again, I might try some foil or paint.
