    AAARRRRGH!

I use Future a lot, it's great stuff, but as I mentioned, try it on a scrap before you spray or brush it on a model. If it's already been sealed by a coat or two of Krylon or Testors type clear coats. Otherwise, it may make the print run......

    AMT Klingon Bird Of prey

blake, No need to say sorry, I agree about a lot of the snappy stuff! I've only come across a couple of them that are actually detailed and nice enough to look twice! I hope my stuff gets you to try out models yourself:)

    AMT Klingon Bird Of prey

Thanks blake7! Yes, most of the snap- tite stuff is very simplified, but in a few cases, with a little work, they can be turned into fine models. I built Revel's Clone Wars Jedi Starfighter and turned it into a very nice finished product, addind a sculpted pilot of my own, and a few...

Again, thanks for the kind comments about my work. It's obvious I'm beating a dead horse, so I'm not going to bother posting any more of my plastic models. You made your feelings perfectly clear, so do what ever you want with the category.

    AMT Klingon Bird Of prey

Thank you all for the kind comments! It was a lot of fun to build, and one of my favorites in my collection. Part of what makes modeling fun for me is enjoying ALL forms of it, paper or plastic. To me, it;s more fun to take an ok kit and give it some love, try to make it the best model I can...

    AMT Klingon Bird Of prey

Hi Guys, Here are some pics of my Bird of Prey, built pretty much out of the box. The only details I added were some styrene bits here and there to spruce up some areas that looked a bit blank. This is really a beautiful kit, and doesn't need much work to have a great model. It even gives you...

Battlestar Galactica: Andrew Probert's Triangle Ship

This looks really cool! And it looks like it would fit in nicely with the new Galactica as well as the Buck Rogers models too.

This is awesome! I'll dig out my PJ and send it to you!

    Stargate Atlantis, Puddle Jumper

RF, Sounds awesome! Just be aware that all I have to contribute is the enlarged PJ parts, they're exactly the same as Martin's , just bigger and on several pages, so you can build a 1/35 scale Puddlejumper. I had some reference pics, I don't know if I still have them, but I'll look, and you're...

    Stargate Atlantis, Puddle Jumper

Thank you all for your very kind comments! Zathros, I didn't lay out and keep the parts of the interior I made, I kinda did them by eye, and made them up using some of the exterior parts. The file that I have is the parts designer by Martin, that were cut off the page and pasted and enlarged, I...

    Stargate Atlantis, Puddle Jumper

Thanks Micah! It was a really enjoyable project, and one day I might go back and put an interior in the big one too, just waiting for the right inspiration......And the time!

    Stargate Atlantis, Puddle Jumper

Here are some pics of the two I built....The 1/48 scale PJ has the interior, not completely accurate, but it was meant to look good from the front windscreen, so that view covers up some innacuracies. The chairs were hand drawn and the first on was cut out from tiny pieces of cardboard - that...

    Stargate Atlantis, Puddle Jumper

Wow that's huge! And a great job too!! I built one in 1/48 scale with a scratchbuilt interior, and another in 1/35. This was the model that caused me to discover paper modeling, so it has a very special place in my heart:) If you'd like, I'll take some pics of them for you to see.

    AAARRRRGH!

Dan, I'm on Long Island, out in the woods, so we get a lot of damp weather and bugs as well....I seal everything with Krylon, and sometimes Future on top of that, and so far, I've been lucky, none of the models have been affected. It seems to preserve them nicely too. Just don't use future...

    Re: Plastic Models

I agree with Spaceagent, this is such a kind community of people. I would be happy to pass on hints and tips for anyone wanting to learn to better their skills. I'm sure others here feel the same.

    AAARRRRGH!

Dan, Did you seal the model after it was finished? I wonder if they would bother a model that's been sprayed with clear lacquer, or Krylon clear finishes......

    Buck Rogers Cargo Sled
