    Are Model Railroader Mags from the 30's and 40's worth anything?

    most of the old MRR's are worth there wait in mulch.there more valuable as a casual reading like mine.i couldnt give them away,but a few of them still have very useful info.i find myself rummaging through them alot,now that i've started my layout.as they may be old but the info never is...

    looks like a great start ron!, the one shown in MRR was pretty sweet,im sureyours wil be just as cool :thumb: quick Q though,how easy are those DPM modulars to build? i think ill be using a few of there walls to build the late 1800's style brick forge shop for my steel mill .--josh

    i usually rough in all my terrain before i lay any track,as it gives me ideas for culverts and streams,etc.ill be using micro engineering C70 track and switches.and quick Q for anyone who built a logging line before,should i lay the track on roadbed or not,since it wont be very well maintained...

    as said before,just about anything you see as the right length and diameter will work.and if you want some really detailed plans of silos,o to the HABS/HAERS site for engineering drawings.i've used a ton of them for past projects,including my sawmill.--josh

    i used a ram set on the wood beams with 1/4in plates and it fired the "nail" thing all the way into both,man that thing was fun :twisted:.and it also made for some fun with a butt load of empty beer cans and too much extra time :mrgreen::thumb:.i hope to see your layout take shape soon.--josh
