Intermountain FT units now avail in ERIE black & Yellow

F3s So far the only IM F-3s anounced have large angled number boards not the smaller flat ones (like the FT) None of Eries F3s had the large boards, except for a set they picked up from the O&W. Hopefully IM will do all versions though.

New to forum - Mini layout tour

Hey I see you found your way over to here, a little bit easier to post pics here. Don't know if this will help, but thought I'd mention: A few times to lay rails on a bridge like you will have to do. I would peel off some of the tie strip (about 10 ties) flip it over and kinda snap it onto the...

    'nother "crummy" HOn30 project...

COOL BEANS!! When I had my "train" (engine,6 cars, and caboose) I could get it to run around 5" radius curves all day without derailing. Hard to get em to run slow, but they look great in a small space with big ups and downs in the scenery. Nice work:cool: Chris

    Erie in N scale

MCL_RDG, Ok you caught me. That was pretty good, got to give it to ya on that one ;) Those pins have the engineers in a trance too, as they just keep running trains in circles  Chris

    More HOn30

Yeah I wish I still had all of them, but its kinda like I sell one to pay for the "next" one. I sold a HOn30 brass forney to pay for the Bmann On30 set. Cut that all up and sold it cause the Sn3 climax looked so good. But the good thing is all the while my N scale was growing. Haven't sold...

    Scratchbuilt Borden's butterdish milk car.

Lookin good blake  I would like to do a borden car someday. Do you know a good place to get plans for these cars? I remember something in RMC with drawings, but I can't find it now. BTW: what size is your N scale layout? Chris

    More HOn30

Hi all, After seeing Shaygetz teakettle and remembering my HOn30 days. I thought I would post some pics of my old stuff. The loco is a brick price brass kit with a N scale plymouth under it. The cars are grandt line and the caboose is scratchbuilt on a grandt line truck. Its base on the KD HO...

    Erie in N scale

Jim, Glad to know theres one more Erie man out there. I would also love to see pics of your layout someday. I find myself running my steam more and more now (the 2-8-0 helped) Btw mine is #1647 also, must be the curse of the decal sheet :) I don't really know why I go for the older era as...

    Erie in N scale

Pondman, Yeah the plaster is right on the foam. Some of the smaller "rocks" I cast, poppped out of the mold and glued down. The bigger ones that had to follow the contour, I put down "wet". I stuck some pins in the foam at way different angles and left them sticking up a hair so the plaster...

    Erie in N scale

Blake, Thanks I will need some that decal film. I was workin on my berkshire today. I reworked the firebox so that it is stright down instead of flared out. And also filed the frame to match. Ordered commonwealth tender trucks from Con-cor, hopefully they will help the power...
