Gil, a blade from a small Bandsaw clipped to size might be easier than trying to heat and form a hacksaw blade.Ussually easy to get if you know any woodworking type guys. Wood woring guys never seem to throw away anything even if it would never be usable again it gets hung on a peg :) The...

Wow Dave, being in Maine I would think you would just be dying to model those wonderful lil 2' gauge RR's you had up there :) I voted steam by the way as my On30 will run 2-8-0 rod and a climax or shay and possibly a lil porter Tank at the docks. Just so ya'll could call me a liar though, i...

    Destroyed Locomotive collection

    Making Trees

Tomato plants have some good roots when dried up. pull them in the spring or very late fall. Convincing stumps for the larger gauges. Nice for trees with roots crawling over rock ledges etc ;)

    Making Trees

Great trees, there are times for those large beasties and times for the other. Huge differance between the amount of time and detail work spent for a front of the layout piece (or compliment to a particular building scene) and the Tree line in the back. A trick for that back tree line of...
