    Hello / Bachmann's New GE 44 Tonner

    At ye ol' RR club, we have the Athearn/Earnst geared SW-7 chassis with the Bowser pot metal SW1500 shell on it. That puppy is a real tiger and will pull the sheet rock off the wall.:eek: :D ;)

    Renumbering

    I have had the best success removing lettering by use of 600 grit sand paper. I gently 'wet sand' the lettering to be removed, and get a nice and smooth finish which is ready to accept the replacement lettering. I use Testor's Dullcoat, thinnned 50%, as a final overspray. ;) :D

    EMD Switcher ID

    I have equipped several of my switchers with the Earnst gears also, and they do run much better and are more reliable. However, I am not an electrical wizard and wonder why the amp pull of the lokie drops with the extra gears installed??? Anyone know why this is?:confused: :)
