The future MV&P- Needs some help!

I just do it free hand with ruler and compass. By the way those are number 5 turnouts and 24"R min curves. I reall think a yard on the upper level would look sweet in this plan. Again just gonna wait and see what boss says about point to point with the 2 level area at the bottom. Im a huge...

The future MV&P- Needs some help!

Let me know if you like this.....I made it so it is a loop. However if you would like....Where the mainlines cross you could build a 2 level area with 2 end points with yards at either end and maybe some staging in that little 4x1 area. Let me know which you would like to see.

    Operational switching layouts

Ok that opens up all new things....either you modeling nothing but 50' boxcars or your layout is set back in the 40's and 50's. With 22" R for your curves I assume your gonna use snap track? A helix with a 22R curve is gonna be tiny and will leave you alot of room to add more sidings which i...

    My First Lay Out Design

I hear ya Doc Im just trying to help push these guys to the NEXT level in layout design. Table top layouts just look like that a tabletop. When you model on a cookie cutter style layout and have a point ;) to the layout things will just flow alot better. I would rather have a U shaped layout...

    My First Lay Out Design

Listen with the correct setup on a Point to point you should still be able to sit back and let the trains roll. U can have connected staging points off both ends of the layout and be able to run straight threw the hidden yards and come out the other side of the world. More over If you have 2...
